Below are several simple but useful
tips that can make your holiday in Bali
go smoothly and more enjoyable:
Do –
• Reconfirm your outbound flight.
• Drink a lot of bottled water as you may be dehydrated easily.
• Shop around when
intending to change money as the exchange rate may vary,
check whether
the commission is additional or not.

Always dress properly when
entering a temple.
(sarong or
long pants are fine, no shorts)
• Keep a copy of your passport with you. (It is best not to
take your passport out of the hotel safe, except for
cashing
travelers checks.
• Ignore the "Time
Share Teams" that you might see on the street.
Never give
out your hotel and room number.
• Ignore any
offers from people on the beach and do not leave valuable
things on the
beach unattended.
• Walking on the beach after dark is not recommended.
DON'T –
• Honk your
horn if a caught behind a procession.
• Attempt to swim outside designated areas on the beach.
• Touch people's heads even children as it considers
offensive.
•
Use your left hand in shaking hands or handing
something to someone
as it is consider impolite. If there is no other option, then express
your apology.
• Never buy or bring DRUGS into Bali, there is a death penalty.
